Mexico Bans Shark Fishing

Mexico's Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food (Sagarpa) has issued a ban on all shark fishing off the Mexican coasts.  The ban is hoped to promoted the sustainable development of shark species and is in effect in the Pacific Ocean until July 30th.  The ban in the Gulf of Mexico is in effect until June 30th.
