Pacific Sardines (Sardinops sagax) are found from Southern Africa to the eastern Pacific, and can grow up to 40 cm in size. Young fish tend to feed on zooplankton and adults on phytoplankton. Fish have somewhat of a lengthly life cycle, as they can live up to 25 years.
